Most DECT GAP cordless phones can use a repeater to extend the working range of the handset through thick walls, large rooms etc. DST list repeaters in related items per phone but please email if you have a specific query regading range extension.
A DECT sender would be used to remotely site a fax machine or desk phone where a socket is not accessible.
