Panasonic 6461 (KXTG6461ET) ET corded and cordless telephone.

The Panasonic KX-TG 6461 features a wired desk phone and a cordless DECT handset and is part of the Panasonic 09 range of cordless DECT phones.  This new concept model features a traditionally designed corded main phone (works in a power cut) that supports an additional cordless handset and can have extra handsets added to cover an entire house or work as a small business system. 

The corded phone base features a keypad and digital answering machine and operates as a traditional phone whilst also acting as the base station for the cordless handset. This allows the flexibilty of using a corded handset whilst at your desk or the cordless handset if you need to move around during a call - the cordless handset can be used anywhere within a max distance of 50m (indoors) & 300m (outdoors) range of the base.

The corded phone

The main phone of the KX-TG6461 is wall-mountable and features a ringer LED and a large easy-to-read 2.5 inch amber-backlit LCD display screen.  The keypad buttons are well laid out for accurate dialling and the handy control panel on the base allows operation of the 20 minute answering machine. A built-in speakerphone on the base of the phone allows hands-free conversations and an intercom/call transfer facility between the main phone and the cordless handset means that you can easily transfer your call to the cordless handset if you need to move around during a call or transfer the caller to someone else who has the handset elsewhere. 

The phone has power failure protection, caller ID with incoming call-barring (caller ID required) and a 100 name & number phone book.

The cordless handset

The cordless handset features a 100 memory phonebook, 1.8 inch LCD amber-backlit display and keypad.  The answering machine’s functions can be accessed via the handset and messages can be played back on either of the phones.  The Panasonic KX-TG 6416 cordless handset sits on its own compact charging cradle (wall mountable) meaning it can be placed in most positions without taking up space and incorporates a speakerphone for hands-free conversations.

If you wish to be able to use a headset with this phone, you can purchase an additional KXTCA840 Panasonic handset which has a headset port.

The Panasonic KX-TG 6461 offers complete flexibity to cover all your telephony needs and can be used as a small office one line system allowing internal calls and call transfer plus 3 way calls.
