This pairing of the Siemens SL400 Telephone and RTX4003 repeater makes for easy extension of the phones range.

The Siemens Gigaset E495 is the direct replacement for the Siemens E455 rugged telephone. Using the same form factor as the E455; of separate base and handset charger, the dect base can be sited in the position of most convenience and signal strength giving optimum area coverage.

Currently only the answering machine version is available, however this can be fully switched off to enable seamless use with PBX system voicemail facilities.

The Siemens E495 has a myriad of features, however the SIM card reader present on the E455 has not been included, and as such all your contacts have to be keyed in. This only has to be done on ONE handset however as they can then be transferred to each additional handset effortlessly.

The Gigaset E495 is the tough durable telephone from Siemens. Built to withstand water, splashes, shocks and dust, it can survive in any environment from the most hectic of homes to the dustiest of workshops. Ergonomically designed to be easy to handle, the E495 has an illuminated colour display and keypad enabling faster navigation. Always gets the message

The Gigaset E495's built in answering machine has an impressive recording time of up to 45 minutes. This dependable phone does all it can to let you know when a new message is waiting, from displaying notification on the handset to sending an SMS notification to an external number. When you want to listen to your messages, you can do so from an external location via remote access playback or at home direct from the handset, you'll know exactly when the message was left with voice announcements of message time and date. For added convenience the digital answering machine of the Gigaset E495 also has the ability to record your telephone calls.

ECO DECT for energy saving and radiaiton free telephony

The energy-saving power supply of the Gigaset E495 consumes less electricity, so it saves you money and is better for the environment. Like all Gigaset cordless phones it also variably reduces the transmitting power from the handset to the base station depending on their distance apart. You can also reduce the transmitting power of the Gigaset E495's base station by 80% simply by selecting the ECO mode. Furthermore, radiation-free (main handset only) ECO Mode Plus slashes the transmitting power by up to 100% when the handset is in standby. This way, you can enjoy a more energy-efficient way of staying connected with your family and friends.

The RTX 4003 DECT repeater

The RTX 4003 DECT Repeater is intended for use in residential, business and public DECT applications based on the GAP profile.

The RTX4003 has two internal antennas and can be used to extend the effective range of any standard DECT GAP base station. The repeater then automatically assigns itself the first available RPN number. If more repeaters have to be assigned to the same base station, the procedure just has to be repeated. The repeaters automatically keep track of the next available RPN number. A total of 6 repeaters can be assigned to each DECT GAP base station. The RTX4003 measures only 120x130x35 mm and can easily be mounted on walls

The RTX4003 features the new unique automatic registration method. This registration method allows the repeater to automatically assign itself to any given DECT GAP base station. To register the user simply places the repeater in close proximity to the base station (within 2 metres), opens the base station for registration and turns on the repeater.
