All DECT cordless phones are limited by law to 250 mW power output (transmitting power) so in order to create a long range cordless phone you simply need to add a repeater to increase the signal distance and therefore extend the range of your phone throughout a building or open space. The repeater does not increase the signal strength, it just repeats the signal giving further coverage.
